Firmware compatible to Wireless Space?

one more remark
PHYAD: 0

It is present as well for eth0 as eth1
that is not as I would expect in the kernel setup file because there other phys addr are initiated here furthermore both cannot have the same
maybe that is a trace to follow :thinking

So, same results for ethtool as before (also for link detected when no cable connected).

Results attached.

Thanks

:scratch
so that is not cause, back to the drawing and study the kernel setup file. There are some gpio pins that seem to influence the behavior of the network interface and I need to study the GPL code of the lacie kernel to see how they setup this ethernet driver

Hello,

Thanks for keeping trying!
So, I tested once again with latest version and same results.

Thanks!

PS: I just got to know I'll be working at Netherlands next week. Not sure yet what my agenda will be, but I can pay you some beer(s), if you like of such a thing. :doh

:pissed not yet the rigth solution
I see this in the boot.log
Code: Select all
[   22.291492] Register Driver 'dsa'

but I don't see that the switch is activated...

back to the drawing board and adding some code to initialize the switch

thanks for the offer for a beer but it is not necessary, I just like to crack this nut. Hope your are willing to give it some more tries, at end we will succeed.
