that is not as I would expect in the kernel setup file because there other phys addr are initiated here furthermore both cannot have the same

as first trial a new kernel with the phy address setup same as for 5big2 that has also two interfaces.
please test

so that is not cause, back to the drawing and study the kernel setup file. There are some gpio pins that seem to influence the behavior of the network interface and I need to study the GPL code of the lacie kernel to see how they setup this ethernet driver

this kernel only enable eth0, so no use for the moment try eth1
