Now, if you do after rebooting the NAS :
Code: Select all
led -l frontred -w off
/etc/leds_bootup

What is it the LEDs status ?

and also
Code: Select all
led -l frontred -w on
led -l frontred -w off
/etc/leds_bootup

I just sent you a new patch version.

So after installing it and rebooting your NAS, do
Code: Select all
/etc/leds_bootup
and all LED should not blink.

and in putty
Code: Select all
/etc/leds_switch off
must switch off only the front LED

After these tests, if you can remove a disk (of course not the system disk :sda), do again after removing one disk
Code: Select all
/etc/leds_bootup
the red sata led of the missing disk is on ?

So we have a pretty common command for nwsp1/2/max, phn, 5big1/2 :-D Need to test it on ISP1, cloudbox and 2big1/2.
I will sent you a new patch so that after booting, the LED is rightly set.

However we must try to find some command how to switch of the sata LED.
So could you post the content of a trigger file (cat trigger) for a red sata LED ?

:scratch

So try this sequence :
reboot the NAS and do /etc/leds_bootup to give a clean status
Code: Select all
led -l frontblink -w off
led -w off
led -w on
led -l frontred -w on
led -l frontred -w off
led -w off
led -w on
And report the front LED status at each step

Thank taetae,

So it seems that to stop any blinking we must switch on first the red LED :-D

Ok, I go to change the leds_switch command.

But I still have two questions :

I just sent you again a new patch version.

With this version switch command should work and after booting the blue LEDs must be on (no need to do the command leds_bootup).
