Hi,
maybe it is an impossible question... but could it evt. be possible to add a kind of RAID-emulation, so that the main HDD ánd a connecte USB-HDD always - instantaneously - have the same data. Or an automated dayly backup-function.

What is your NAS ?
For small NAS (NSWP or IS), yes we can make a logical raid with the usb disk. Think the better configuration would be a RAID1 (mirror disk).
