yes, i just thought if maybe there was a way like Wake on Lan, because the Switch button is untouched... (In the past I used this with my workstation at work) so....i had this thought :)....but maybe i really don't have needed....mmm....i can use Nas without this function, however, forget this, thanks :mrgreen:

ok ok, I have a idea for this.......WHAT, if I, after switch off the Nas via Network interface, PUSCH THE FRONT BUTTON??? :thinking is it possible to rise on the nas?

to answer this and modify the firmware I need to have a 5big2 for trials, I found one on the internet recently and made an offer.

But what is wrong with using the switch on backside ?

nothing :)........it firs need to swirch in off position, and then re-switch in on position for turn on the Nas.....but no problem.
today I thought about the front button, it is very nice with his blue light, but in the same time it is so useless...:/

No they don't have problem its only the crappy firmware of lacie causing the problems.

(I have now myself a 5big2 and it runs perfectly on fvdw-sl firmware :punk

Yes, the fvdw-sl firmware is really great, i use the Nas every day :) :)

Hi Draftmancorp,

Could you confirm me that currently some menus are not displayed : Printer; ssh and vpn. You get an error message with these menus.

i'm not at home, but YES, i can confirm that some menus are not displayed :) (don't remember if i get an error message or simply get a no button response... :scratch )
