Ooops, I didn't go to bed... :crazy
and I found the issue : the boot script doesn't use the same php function to set the daemon than in the disk setup menu.

So, He had to make change in two locations...

So put the new php function in public share and in putty give the command :
Code: Select all
cp -i /share/1000/public/disksfunc_parameters_config.finc /etc/finc
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

:punk wow also that issue sorted.
well done Jocko :thumbup

Last excersize will be checking the log files

Connect with putty and give command
Make the Putty window wide because the output contains long lines
Code: Select all
cat /var/log/messages

and post the output

its ok :thumbup

you can start using the nas as you like, create users, shared folders ...checkout the backup feature, use the mediaservers and so on
The firmware will still need some adaptiions as temperature guard of the disk, the fan control, usb spin down function. But for the moment I see no reason that this should limit you to use it.
All other point/suuse we will resolve in the coming time based on your feedback as you are the only user in the world of a 5big2 with fvdw-sl firmware :punk
