almost again you mention ip-nas while it must be ip-pc !

Code: Select all
tftp -r UIMAGE-26394-NWSP2CL-106 -l UIMAGE-26394-NWSP2CL-106 -g ip-pc

(replace ip-pc by ip of your pc)
Code: Select all
dd if=UIMAGE-26394-NWSP2CL-106 of=/dev/sda6

if that has gone ok, then
Code: Select all
reboot -f

and see if you can contact it using webinterface

I agree

Now you will have to make up your mind how many disks you want to install. The ones that have data on it will need to be copied first I guess. As they are in ntfs format they can not be used straight away. I suggest we prepare a new dtabase for you that in principle can handle five disks. I don't know what will happen when in that case we only install 3 but a test will point that out.
But for me it is too late this evening to proceed need to go to bed as I have an early start tomorrow, but maybe Jocko can still spend some time this night.

ps you can return the 500 GB disks.

good night sy tomorrow

I wrote in a previous post, we need now some information about yours disks

So plug all your 5 disks and of course the firmware disk in the slot1

Start you NAS and open a Putty window

So do these commanlines and post their output
Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sda
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep -i serial | awk '{print $3}'
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep -i 'Device Model'| awk '{print $3}'

Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sdb
fdisk -l /dev/sdb
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdb| grep -i serial | awk '{print $3}'
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdb| grep -i 'Device Model'| awk '{print $3}'

Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sdc
fdisk -l /dev/sdc
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdc| grep -i serial | awk '{print $3}'
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdc| grep -i 'Device Model'| awk '{print $3}'

Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sdd
fdisk -l /dev/sdd
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdd| grep -i serial | awk '{print $3}'
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sdd| grep -i 'Device Model'| awk '{print $3}'

Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sde
fdisk -l /dev/sde
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sde| grep -i serial | awk '{print $3}'
/usr/sbin/smartctl -a /dev/sde| grep -i 'Device Model'| awk '{print $3}'
