Well in that case this disk could be connected to your 5big2 using the usb interface with an sata-usb connector. But you must expect slow speeds when writing to it via the NAS. If you write to it using you notebook running windows it will be ok.
Reading from it using the NAS would still be reasonable fast i expect so to make a back up from usb to a fixed disk in the nas it would be ok as well
