we need to find out why it won't boot, to do this we can use the "fvdw-sl-console" we recently released. It has an u-boot console inside that also should work for nwsp1. But you need a PC running windows and the the nwsp1 connected to the LAN. This switched off but with the disk you prepared inside.
You can download the console here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1271
Install is easy justunpack the zip archive in a folder of your choice.
To start only double click the fvdw-sl-console.exe in the directory where you extracted the package
This will start the fvdw-sl-console (password 33305)
Choose from the actie menu the "u-boot console"
A command window will pop mention that it waits for u-boot, after that start the nwsp1. The program running on the windows PC will inetrupt the boot and it will ask you to click on the command window and press enter.
Now you should get a prompt like this Marvell>>
If you have that we can start to see what the nwsp can detect o the disk

before we start one question more

are you sure you have a network space and not an internet space 1 ?

What kind of buttons do you have on the back of the device ? (push button or are a switch)

this means it doesn'tt recognize your harddisk

You could try the command
Code: Select all
partinfo

(can also be that the command is "part info")
This should list partition table
