Is anyone had any prob with HDD (bad sectors, failure of electronics from HDD board) ?
I ask this because I see my SMART info say on same attributes value much bigger than threshold value.
What is life expectancy for such equipment (our NAS) in a scenario of use 7 day/week, 24 hours /day ?
Please share your experience .
My guess is HDD will fail first, not NAS motherboard.

This doesn't seem nice. :dry
But be careful all SMART attribute is not a "pre-fail" flag.
For those ones that are upper to the threshold, you must search their exact meaning.
Note : if you have some pre-fail flag in this case, you must backup your data quickly...
