one more request give the command "mount" (without the quotes to see if sda5 is really mounted on /rw_fs

if it is not mounted then the NAS creates all file that should be in rw_fs (so on sda5) in the root file system of the system partition and then the party ends when the uploaded file has filled up the remaining space. on the system partition.
On fvdw-sl 11-0 the free space in a system partition is about 40 MB.
sda5 must be mounted on /rw_fs otherwise it is not going to work

So this is incomprehensible ... sda5 is mounted and You have enough space on this partition. :pound

however there is a solution to upgrade your firmware without the step1.

that looks good

now we are going to try to write a file to /rw_fs/tmp from command line

enter this command

Code: Select all
dd if=/dev/zero of=/rw_fs/tmp/test bs=1M count=60

This should create a file of 60MB in /rw_fs/tmp writning 60 blocks of 1 Mbyte

If this succeeds then we must look at webinterface, if this fails something is wrong with the partition

(after writing remove the test file)

hi,

Code: Select all
root@fvdwsl-base:/ # dd if=/dev/zero of=/rw_fs/tmp/test bs=1M count=60
60+0 records in
60+0 records out
root@fvdwsl-base:/

tell me if i am wrong!!
when i do step one the system rename any file to firmware.bin so i think is i upload a dummyfile the prior to do step2 i copy the correct file to /tmp and proceed step2 could this way end in a happy ending ???

This what I mean when I wrote "however there is a solution to upgrade your firmware without the step1."

As there is not an issue with your partition I just send you a pm

yes you could do that but it is strange that the file can not be uploaded

after upgrading the firmware, you can try to upgrade again the firmware to see if you have yet this upload issue
