I don't know this protocol, but if it is just a download link you can try to paste it in wget (see menu in webinterface)

With What I understand I don't think wget can download files from an ed2k url. Need to install an ed2k client.

I think there must be a ed2k client. There is any change to include in next update?

there is mldonkey, i managed to install it on my ns2 with fvdw firmware and it seems to work (at least do the web interface and the search, i haven't alerady tried to download anything).
There's a problem when you try to change the admin password, and it also complain about the outdated version of libc, but it should work anyway...

..mmmm mldonkey, we will look at that

yes libc is an older version (2.3.6) but upgrading that is tricky because all binaries and libraries in the software use it and might need recompiling when upgrading it to a newer version. That's a major action with big risk of trouble
Further a newer version is not necessary better, C language is already around for a long time and the version we use is perfectly capable to run everything. I did not run into a situation yet that we could not install something because of a too old libc version
So is it worth the effort to upgrade libc :disapprove

you could just compile mldonkey using the current libc... It is open source, so you shouldn't find any problem...
