Transmission related

Postby santa » Mon Dec 17, 2012 7:25 pm

I thing I found a problem, my nas say in transmission web client on my port "port is closed", on my router every setting for port forwarding is made, and trackers make updates on my ratio and my uploads, everything seems to be OK (till now). So my question is do you know anything on this, is transmission related or OS on my NAS ?

Hi santa,

do you upload some torrent files and start the download ?

The port is open only if you try to download some files (of course if there are some seeders).

I used regularly transmission-client without issue .

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

As jocko set it is only open when you are downloading, when seeding en when others download from you apparently another port is used.

Nothing to be worried about

ps have a look at transmisiion remote, a windows application that let you connect directly to the daemon. more user friendly then the webinterface via the NAS http://code.google.com/p/transmisson-remote-gui/
