I can also confirm this works :). Used 3 different disks and all went well after the first boot :).

A question: when could we expect fw 8.1 with corrected boot and time issues ?

soon :mrgreen: in principle it is ready..and it will be 9.0.. lacie user will like it as it also will make upgrading on the lacie's possible using the web interface. precondition will be that the lacie's are setup according the fvdw instructions and partition structure. I was holding it back because Jocko is working on a menu that will let you make automatic backups with the nas but I think that will take a while to complete. Also i planned to include a new kernel that solves the RTC clock issue on the lacie nwsp1 but I am still waiting for a volunteer to test the kernel (Jocko is on holidays)
But I will not wait long and it would be good to release version 9.0 already to eliminate the bugs you mention and do the new kernel and backup menu in one of the next releases
