So attached a new version.
With it eth0.log is deleted before writing the new outputs and you have to wait now up to front led is red. Then you have to unplug/plug the network cable at this step (you have 10'' to do it). Stop the NAS when front led is blue again

This is where we disconnect. I never see any red. The front LED is just blue, then solid blue. Never any red, as I recall.

At boot time. It has flashing blue, then turn to solid. That is silent. Then it stays at solid blue, fan starts running. It just sits there with fan running. Ethernet mostly dark and tries to connect from time to time. My giga network only turns on amber/yellow. Not the typical green. So very limited activity.

Please note that the boot sequence lasts at least 2 minutes.
So, skip the unplug/plug check and wait 2-3 minutes before stopping and opening telnet access.

Yes, this is what I've been doing. For normal boot, I always boot it fully and wait for much longer. Then I power off and connect to the fvdw console and telnet.

I never see red with fvdw-sl builds.

Ok but Im still waiting outputs (boot. Log and eth0. Log) with the last version of the script I sent you previously. What you posted was not correct.

I'm not sure exactly what you meant about the 5'' and 10''. Are they 5 seconds and 10 seconds?

When my box boots, front LED flashes blue, fan not running, network LED flashes briefly. Then HD starts to spin, network LED flashes rapidly and fan starts to run. After several seconds, front LED become solid blue. That is the final state of regular boot. Solid front LED and fan running all time.

Re: Try to Get a Disk Image of Drive of 2Big V2

Postby Jocko » Fri Sep 19, 2025 9:44 am

Hi

[quote="RedSun"]Here is current boot.log. The network portion appears blank.

It is the expected output as you made a new fresh install where you put only the last additional package (eth0-check.tgz ). So debug mode is disabled and the nas requests a lease for an address IP which it must get again a leasefail answer
Code: Select all
*** fvdw-sl NAS firmware
    This is fvdw-sl version: fvdw-sl 18.3
    built on: February 20 2024

    LAN IP address:  (DHCP)

    Port configuration:

    LAN   -> eth0

So you have to install again :
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3855&start=10#p39866
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3855&start=30#p39883

NB: following the installation order does not matter
