Lacie Network Space Max with 4TB disk (GPT support?)

I've installed fvdw-sl firmware version 18-2 without any problems and built a RAID1 with the two disks.

I can confirm that NetworkSpaceMax support 4 TB disk (WD Red Plus) without uboot update.

I'would like to perform some speed test and I've tried to switch to samba 4 but the setting is always reverted to 3.x after the commit.
Is Samba 4.x an addon ? (by the way I've already make a donation).

I would like to know is there is any form of quota support on shares (macOS TimeMachine backups need to be limited otherwise eat all the space).

Thank you.

Thank you for your donation, much appreciated.

We added you to the donators group and granted access to addons

Yes samba 4 is an addon, and there is no quota support yet

Activating samba4 lead to an error: "Fail: can not retrieve the package (-99)"

We did not implement the quota feature with the samba server but only a TM size limit. So what you noticed

With LaCie stock firmware I was limited by old Samba/APF implementations. In addition, a sneaky problem arise with the latest macOS versions: the copy process often stopped the first time before complete (the second copy attempt always works).

This firmware really revitalized my NAS and is a must for the owners of the supported devices.

I had some initial problems with Samba 4 and macOS (permissions and extra folders creation).
After applying the latest patches (promptly released by the author) now all works.
The two WD Red Plus 4TB are recognised (no uboot upgrade required) and I've setup a Raid 1 in which I've copied almost 2TB of data on a single operation without any problems.

Keep up the good work :applause !
