Where does this disk comes from, used or new?

Seems first sectors of the disk are corrupt.
You could try to repair them , start gdisk /dev/sda then give command r and then f and then v after that b and c and finally w
Answer all questions you get with Y

The disk is not writeable.
Is it possible that the powersupply doesn't have enough juice? Does the disk spin up?
Do you have another way to check the healthiness of the disk?
Is smartctl available to read the SMART status of the disk?
Do you have a bootlog?
