What image must i install UIMAGE-3142-5BIG1-11 or UIMAGE-26394-5BIG-45-standalone ?

Thanks in advance !

If you use the fvdw-sl console use option install firmware and select the 5big1 standalone kernel. Follow the steps provided in the main window of the fvdw-sl console or read the help pages of the console for detailed info

It can take some time betore it can find it on your lan. Try again after 10 minutes or so. Other possibility look in your router to see which ip is assigned.

Other posibilities if firmwarevis not loading (no ip)
1. you selected the wrong device when installing the firmware
2. The disk with the firmware must be in lefthand side slot seen from the back side of the 5big1

Hi Basajaun,

By default, IP settings are assigned from a DHCP server. So check if you have enabled DHCP server on your router (ISP box)

Good morning,

i've installed fvdw-sl-console on the left hd following the instructions. This disk has blue light. But when i stop the nas and put all disks , then start up the nas don't connect to nas an all disks have red light.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe it is your error.
Indeed if Lacie kernel is still stored on the other disks, our firmware fails to start on big network platform.

So try to start with only one disk (left disk) and see if fvdw-sl assistant detects your nas

Hi Jocko,

thanks for your reply. The other disk are news, don't have any data. I've initiated nas with only left disks, blue light on disk, but fvdw-sl-assistant don't detect nas.

Thanks in advance !

Mmmm..strange.

Leave the lefthand disk with firmware in and remove the others then load the standalone kernel using fvdw-sl console.
When telnet has connected give command
Code: Select all
cat boot.log
and post output so we can see what happens if the nas boots. In boot.log we can also see if the nas gets an ip assigned and if so what that is
