Upgrade the firmware is easy :
- download on your laptop files for your platform 5big2 : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2313
- unrar them to get a bin file
- from the lacie firmware upgrade menu upload the bin file
Note: if you try only one time we should be able to come back. So do not make several attempts if you are issues
Next step install the rollup patch after rebooting the NAS : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2677

Thank you so much.
I'm on 16-1 right now!!!! I just trying to install the patch, but I can't find the "fvdw shared folder" (for putting in the zip patch file)... where i find/create this folder?
In my windows explorer I only can find the 5HDD shared but no "fvdw shared folder"

You just need to create an additional share 'fvdw' by using 'File share Management' menu.
I advice to create this share as a private share. So need an user account with full access (R/W)

Then from your laptop, move the zip file to this network folder.

Done.
Now I start the 17-0 update.
But i see that is different from the 15 and 16 version, before there is a .bin file, now i have a zip with many files inside...
Have I to upload just the .zip file from the Update page of the web interface?

Yes, as the Update page ask, we must put the ".zip" file if want to upload manually. good.
Now i'm on 17-0 men, all seems to work correctly!!!

30Mb/s write speed!!
54Mb/s read speed!!

from 11Mb/s that was before...This is a GREAT success! :woohoo
thank you guise!

Yes it is why you needed to install the patch. Please to note you would have been able to upgrade the firmware directly without downloading and uploading the zip file by clicking on the button "Update firmware via fvdw-sl server (latest version)". In this case the firmware get quietly the package from plugout.net.

Otherwise, I advice you to install the current rollup patch for version 17.0 (use the same way as for version 16.1)

Just for notice you that from 16-1 if i trig "Update firmware via fvdw-sl server (latest version)" a message that I already have the latest version come up.
I'd no choise.
So I installed the 17-0 form manual update.
And all its perfectly, like my post in viewtopic.php?p=25902#p25902 :applause you are a genius guise.
