Hi,

Your issue should not be related to version 17.0. It seems data partitions is mounted read-only (maybe as its filesystem is corrupted).

Can you post these output:
Code: Select all
mount
dmesg

So on sda5 and sda8 you have a corrupted filesystem.

But as you can not unmount sda5 when the firmware is running, you need to use fvdw-sl console to repair the filesystem on them.

So you need to get a telnet access (action load a standalone kernel and select the standalone kirkwood kernel)

Then on the telnet wibdow run
Code: Select all
 fvdw-sl-programs
and select "Upload and extract glibc mini and tools" to install some binaries

Now you should be able to check the fs on sda5 and sda8 :
Code: Select all
e2fsck -y /dev/sda5
e2fsck -y /dev/sda8

Reboot the NAS and post again
Code: Select all
mount
dmesg

Hello again
he does not allow me to make a telnet connection, he rejects me. I use putty or the own cmd of windos.

"network error: conection refused" or "Can not open connection to host, on port 23: Connection failed"

You need to install the fvdw-sl console on your pc to load the standalone kernel. It can be downloaded in the download section of this forum also you can find there installation instruction how to install the fvdw-sl console. After you have the console up and running read the help files present in the console how to load the standalone kernel

probably memory is not sufficient to run e2fsck on sda8 (big partition).
If sda5 is ok and the system partitions are ok the nas should boot and you could try to run e2fsck via connecting to ssh server of the firmware. In that case swap will be available allowing more memory use.
If teh system partitions (sda7, sda1 and sda2) also have file system errors the nas may not be able to boot and run correctly. In that case try to repair these partitions as well using the standalone kernel.

PS these file system errors should not occur, so it might be that you are facing a disk at end of life.
