I'm not 100% sure but i remember the noise of disks spining up when accessing the nas were pretty noticeable and i cant hear anything like that. Also, i have been transferring stuff into the nas for at least one week 24/7 with cpu always 100% so maybe it was just too much to such old psu.

I just noticed that it doesnt have an internal psu, just the external psu adapter. I already replaced this once, 2 years ago. At least i can get another with no big issues and test it.

Not yet, i'm still considering if its worth it at all

I made a homemade DAS with an old case and just psu+drives connected to the main server by a SFF-8087 cable. I was able to get the same raid working anyway and now i'm considering just keep it that way instead of getting my lacie back to live...

Ok I understand although a power supply is not very expensive, I was just curious if this solved the problem
