Pydio AKA AjaXplorer

Pydio AKA AjaXplorer

Hi!

I had some spare time and did installed the V5.0.4 of Pydio. Works great but as I'm a linux noob , is there some people interested to help in this small project?

already done: installed and working interface. I did some download and upload test and all seems great. I used the database installation method for Advanced settings with MySQL.

SDomeone know how to link some folder to ajaxplorer? Next step i'll try to symlink the folter to the data directory of ajax... I'll let you know.

Yes raidsm it is easy to install ajaxexplorer in a "standalone way" but my purpose is not here.

Indeed, with this way you need to create user accounts for ajaxexplorer and also set ajaxexplorer shares.

I want to implement fully ajaxexplorer so that it re-uses the settings of the nas database (and then disable some admin feature on the ajaxexplorer web-interface)
So need to create some php code to have a patched version for ajaxexplorer

Great! I understant it would be great if users and folder are automaticly synced! BTW I just add repository (folder located on the nas) in the workspace of ajaxplorer and everything seems to work great!!!! I'm quite exited as a web explorer is a must on a NAS if accessed in a public or work place. For now it's usable and I'll do some more testing.

Let me know how it turns out as it's really an exciting feature. Tumbnail creation are fast , options are great , you can't ask for more. I will test the iPhone app tonight and let you know how it goes.

Create symlink toward the shares in the ajaxexplorer sharing location is basically the first thing to do.

But with this way it is not enough:
- you can not prevent an ajax user account to save files at the root level of the ajaxexplorer sharing location (=> do some changes on the php code)
- you can not manage what shares may be ro or rw according to the user account used.

Only additional development will allow to restore a clean behaviour.

I did some tests and the best version for our nas is the version 4 (fast and not too complicated) I did try all other version (5 ,6 ,7 and 8-not enough memory for the 8) and 5 and above , it's slow even on sqlite database.

I did some config to remove the original repository in ajaxplorer and automaticly point to a shared folder and i'm quite satisfied the way it works. As you said , users are not linked) but I much prefer ajaxploere instead of the web-explorer built-in. Downloads , uploads , and some other stuff work well enough.

I'll let you know if I find some other thing if I can help a bit...

Hi raidsm

:thumbup Indeed it was my idea to use only versions 3 or 4 and not the latest ones with sqlite. So I will use version 4.
I go to make developments on September for Ajaxplorer and so I will come back to you for the testings if you are agree.
