If you have a 5big2 then you need to use the kirkwood standalone kernel. (I already mentioned that and it is mentioned in the popup menu when you select the standalone kernel, please take some time to read help text ;)

Yes, i have an 5Big network2.

I have tested with the following kernel, with either of them giving me timeout on telnet
-UIMAGE-466-KIRKWOOD-7
-UIMAGE-26394-5BIG1-45-standalone
-UIMAGE-3142-5BIG1-11

I'm sorry but I've read the console help and instructions several times

Many thanks
Best regards

maybe but badly
victorva wrote:-UIMAGE-466-KIRKWOOD-7

So these kernel versions are not standalone versions :pound
victorva wrote:-UIMAGE-26394-5BIG1-45-standalone
use a version 5big1 whereas you have a 5big2 is also wrong... :pound
Why you did not use the version UIMAGE-3142-kirwood-158-standalone :shocked (5big2 => kirkwood version and kernel image name with standalone)

So with this version you should be able to get a telnet access.

Dear Jocko

Finally I installed the firmware on the device correctly, although I have done with a single disk now I will have to add the rest.
I will follow the instructions: Add additional disks instruction 5big2 2big2 nwsp2max 2big1 5big1-04oct15

On the subject of the images, I am silly or blind, I was looking for kirkwood in the folder called kirkwood and do not look in the root folder. :pound :hammerhead :hammerhead :hammerhead I apologize for this.

I love you Jocko

Best regards

:thumbup

About the other disks, I'd rather you use directly the firmware web-interface as you use version 17.0.

So:
- stop the NAS
- plug in other disks
- start the NAS
- go to the disk setup menu on the web-interface
- click on the button 'Initialize disks...'

Hi Jocko I'm glad you ask me
I have put 5 disks with a total of 5 TB (1 TB each one)
But I'm thinking I use the NAS, since when Lacie's support told me that it could not be recovered I gave it up for lost and I still have not thought about whether it's going to be for backup or storage of employees. So for the moment I have it stopped, without doing raids or anything.

Thank you very much indeed
I love u :bananadance

Best regards
