How to use cloudbox after data recovery

Postby psa55 » Tue Feb 07, 2017 10:03 am

I had a problem similar to the one described in viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2499
I managed to recover all data in the disk by using the procedure described in the post (copying data via ftp).
Thank you very much for the helpful info :thumbup

Could you please tell me if it is possible to use the cloudbox again or if I have to substitute it?

Thank you again.

P.S.
I am using a cloudbox with the original firmware with and 4TB disk.

Depends whats wrong with your cloudbox. But if you were able to use our standalone kernel and copy the dat from the disk, it seems the hardware is ok.

Yes the disk should be ok, since I was able to use the standalone kernel and copy all data.
It seems the problem is with the cloudbox firmware.

When I try to connect I see the blu light blinking (slowly) for a long time. After sometime the light becomes red (fixed).

I also tried to use the u-boot command window with the following commands

setenv root_part 5
ide reset
setenv image /boot/uImage
run nexus_load_image
run nexus_bootargs
bootm

as you suggested in the other thread. After 24 hours the blu light was still blinking, so that I though it was not successfull.

At this point I can also format the disk, if needed, since all data were saved.
Can you give me any suggestion how I can proceed?

Thank you.
