No telnet connection after upload firmware to cloudbox

No telnet connection after upload firmware to cloudbox

Postby dabezt » Mon Sep 19, 2016 4:11 pm

I'm trying to deploy fvdw in a cloudbox white with a new 500Gb disk...

I'm using the console, I've swicthed off the nas, I've selected "install fvdw-sl firmware" in console... and I select as Firmware the file .bin file I've downladed form the firmware thread, for Cloudbox (white):

"xfvdw-sl-16-1-cloudbox-3oct2015.bin"

I can see it begins to copy it to the nas and it finish ok. But when the telnet pops up, it tells me that it's not possible to establish connection...

please n1 here could help me? thanks a lot!

You should not upload that .bin file but the standalone, please read the detailed help pages available in the fvdw-sl console for installing firmware. After the standalone kernel has been loaded the telnet client can connect an the rest of the instructions can be followed

From what you post I conclude you did not read or not follow the instructions. :tapfoot please read again its not that difficult

I've read all the instruccions my friend! But I don't know which 'standalone' uimage file to upload to a CLoudbox White... I think it's not clear enough... when I'm prompted to choose uimage file, I don't know which choose...

ISP1, kirkwood, 2big, 5big ??

Edited: FOUND IT! Kirkwood :-)
It's not in the help nor instructions... it's on the forum, searching...
