Than it will format the second disk and add the space to the raid

:lmao erm erm...thank you FVDW, you made me laugh today!! :applause

The pictures are back to front, the last one you see is actually the first in the process, so the first one you see is the result...I surely don't have your level of technical knowledge but I'm not that dumb :evilwink

 sorry then about that, I am not so familiar with web interface info of lacie firmware, in fact I never used it myself.

In the download topic is a post with raud tutorials from Jocko

I know this link but about RAID0 it says
We don't plan to create a guide for raid0 even if this feature will be available with 16.1

Hi macdalor,

You just need to follow the howto for raid5 with the standard way but you need to use these options to create the option :
Code: Select all
 --level=0 --raid-devices=n
where n is the number of disk.

any idea why I get a "-sh: mdadm: not found" mesg when trying to create the RAID?

I also get
Code: Select all
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # umount /dev/sdb8
umount: can't umount /dev/sdb8: Invalid argument

when trying to unmount the sdx8...

Oops wait , do you use ssh access while running fvdw-sl 16-1 ?
If so, mdadm should work. Only if you use standalone kernel mdadm must be uploaded.
Raid configuration should be done with running fvdw-sl and ssh access
