With your output, I assume that the firmware uses the partition sda7 at boot time because you should have one more line ( /dev/sda1 (or sda2) 193.7M 193.7M 0 100% /).
(your can check this : your folder /lacie-boot must be empty).

In standard configuration, the free space is around 55MB. So You must delete few ones of your additional files that you saved on the partition sda7. (be carefull if it's binaries or libraries).

Note : How do you install the release 11.0 : first install or with the update menu ?

Both version 10 and 11 (I use this firmware to version 10) I installed from scratch, with one difference.
In version 10 I partitioned the HDD with "fdisk" exactly as described in the tutorial.
In version 11 I partitioned the HDD with GParted in graphics mode (but I follow the dimensions made ​​with fdisk). I wanted to see if it works. And it worked.

Bozo29, I think you do not treat your question on the right side! ;)

First, sda1, 2 and 7 must have the same size. Indeed, after each update, the firmware uses one of these partitions: 7 with the first installation, then after sda1, and after another update sda2 .., and again sda1... So if you need 1GB for your personnal binaires, these three partitions must have the same size. And as you have a small disk, system partitions size has an impact.

Finally, after each update, you have to restore your configurations : reinstall your binaries....

So, the solution to save your customization in a technical share seems more reasonable (restore symlinks is very simple)

You're right. I do not know why I was talking about sda7 and i looking at sda5 (in picture). I am a little tired tonight.

HDD is not small, for what I need. In fact the original HDD from LaCie was 1TB, but I changed to 500GB one.
I use this hdd for download, not for storage.
It seems to me a bad idea to use the same hdd for download torrents and data storage.
Because a HDD that works non-stop (for download/upload), it is likely to fail anytime.
So I do not use it for storage and for this reason I decided to not be very large.
I copy data (by FTP) from it to another hdd which is for storage.

I do not mind me to install from scratch every time, because I do not partitioning every time, just format it.
And I'm not touching sda8 partition.
So, when starting Transmission, the settings and torrents it finds all there.

In this case it's okay to make sda1, sda2 and sda7 - 1GB each?

It makes no sense to increase the partitions sda1, sda2 and sda7. This because a diskimage is written to it. The size of the diskimage must fit on the partition but the space available will be determined by the size of the disk image of the firmware which 200 MB on this moment. (it might be increased in future).
sda5 is the partition in which the main database and settings are stored enabling to keep those during firmware upgrades. It is also used to extract the firmware files during upgrade. During that action it needs more space.

I think you have used wget to download a file and stored it in the system partitions (sda1, sda2 or sda7). You should store it in a sub directory of /share/1000 as the big partition containing all your share (sda8) is mounted on /share/1000. That means if you store something in a sub directory of /share/1000 it will be stored on sda8 which has much more room then the system partitions.
Another reason of filling up the system partition can be that you installed optware packages. Those will go in the system partition and that has limited space. There are workarounds for that by using a symlink for the /opt folder pointing to a folder on sda8 but that requires some linux skills.

I just add one remark about sda5.

This partition is used by web-explorer (and so php) to upload files. Maximum filesize that you can upload, it's fixed by sda5 freesize.
