As soon as a new bad block appears again and impact the superblock then yes it will fail again.rimoth wrote:Is it going to fail again very soon?
Currently you have 560 bad sectors it is not so much and I assume your data should not be corrupted as the disk uses then some additional sectors to replace them
but their number is limited.
Note: if later some bad blocks concern fs partitions (sda1/2/7), the nas may start no longer.
If you do not use heavily the cloudbox, I think you have time to buy a new disk and then backup your data on itrimoth wrote:What would you suggest next, backup to new drive and replace drive?
Yes if you reboot the nas, you will get a rw mount on sda8rimoth wrote:Can I risk, rebooting NAS and attempting rw mount?
My suggestion is to keep down the nas until you get a new disk.
