Hi Acquarious81,

Before deepening anything, can you explain how do you restore a clean firmware version on your NAS ;)

I'm sorry but maybe i don't understand your question... I don't have restored firmware of my nas, if you talk about the problem with mount of my ntfs ext hdd I've only correct the symlink pointing to the older lib.

Now I'm courious to understand the automatic process of recognize and mount a ext hdd when it's plugged in

i try to remove the external hdd with safe remove in fvdwls site page, but after that the /share/1000/ folder is empty...

This is very amazing

I checked the related code and there is no explanation to get this behaviour, please to note this disk should be mounted read-only by the firmware.

So the best thing to do is to reinstall version 16.1 (by using the upgrade firmware menu)

And try again to plug the disk. If still there is an issue please to do nothing and post here for helping.

In my opinion , i don't know why .. because was 3 days the nas work... but i think i used ipkg to try to install some app... and when i plug-in the hdd mount command don't work with the lib linking by ipkg.. once i've relink to the update lib all be fine... also now i've replug the Ext HDD and work as another mount position in share/1000... also the sda8 is mounted right..

now i wan't to understand how the nas know where i plug a ext hdd.. and what command send for mount it in the system... because of this i ask what daemon look for usb plug...
