Sorry but I don't understand your post.

if you already used fvdw-sl firmware then just need to install it as a first install... :scratch
And information is already available in the download subforum :doh

At the moment i have no way to see my NAS on my lan... Could you help me ? I dont know much about Custom firmware install etc.. Is there a guide somewhere to install fvdw directly on the NAS hardrive instead of using the console/network ?

So the ask was how to install the firmware on a new disk without fvdw-sl console.

Why you do not want to use fvdw-sl console ? Except for linux users without a Window OS, fvdw-sl console is the fastest and easiest way to install the firmware.

So follow the guidance here
fvdw-sl-16-1 firmware for lacie network space vs2 (Classic and Lite), network space max vs2 and D2 network 2
(Do not use on other devices !)

Note: You must use version 15-3 or higher for upgrading the firmware.

First time install: use the fvdw-sl-console it runs under ms-windows and it can install the firmware without taking the disk out.
You can download it in the download section of the forum. FVDW-SL-CONSOLE-DOWNLOAD

Yes I know it : you do not see the nas as you have an empty disk (=> no firmware).

But fvdw-sl console will allow you to install it as it uses only the bootloader on your nas. So please to use fvdw-sl console.

One more question, is Plex media file going to be updated for the v.16 ?

Hi zerocool4949,

Jocko wrote:With later version, this add-on is useless (firmware image will include the plexmediaserver script)
So use directly plexmediaserver script tp install it as it is already available in version 16.1

Note: In my opinion, Plex is not very useful with your NAS as this platform can not transcode many video formats.
