What do you want to do now backup your data or try to restart Lacie ?

Note: For today it is enough as I have a long work day tomorrow...

Awesome!
But, how do I back up the data?

Figure it's using the telnet window and Linux commandsbut again not familiar. I have a USB 3 TB backup drive I can use it plugged into the back of the Lacey will that work? Or do I have to download somehow through telnet to buy windows XP machine?

Yes, fvdw-sl console supports USB drive.

Note: if you have some big files(>2TB), you will need some other commands to backup your data.

But sorry for today it is enough, :z)

No all files should be small. All music.
I get enough for today. Just nervous with sitting with a degraded Array.

Tomorrow is another day. Will await instructions.

I have my WD USB Drive plugged into the Lacie.

-Would need to know how to access the USB Drive

-Guessing I'd need to mount the USB drive/directory. Not sure how.

-Figure I would need to create a directory on the USB Drive to copy the files into. I'll just call it "backup"

- I need to find the directories/folders I need to copy off the Lacie. So need to know how to look at the directories in linux so I can find the files/directories I need to copy.

- Need the commands to copy those specific directories and all encompassing files and subfolders to the USB drive and backup directory/folder.
