Ran into problems again. Started the fvdw-si-console and entered the password. Then, under action, selected standalone kernel and answered yes. Then, selected uimage-3136-isp1-edm2-13-standalone since there was none with cloudbox. Then, tftpd32 by Ph Jounin opens up along with clunc opens with IP 192.168.88.252 however, it remains in the start menu bar and clinking it showed no login window.

Then, the fvdw-si-console becomes unresponsive.

Which operarting system are you using on your pc?
I have seen very rare a freeze of the console on windows10 when it trie to browse a directory. Killing the console and restarting solves it. Must be a windows issue as it happens random and only on windows10.
Furthee you must use the kirkwood standalone kernel, the cloudbox is a kirkwood

I am using Windows 7 and maybe the freeze was happening because I had selected the wrong standalone kernel. I will try that (Kirkwood) and report back.

It still seems that I have some problem and Windows 7 shows unresponsive. I am wondering whether the Kirkwood standalone was installing...like, does it take awhile? I got the "waits for u-boot" then, I powered up the device; however, it seems to take a long time and the "waits for u-boot" doesn't go away. Here are some screen shots:

what about your firewall settings, if "waiting for u-boot doesn't go away when you start your nas then most likelly clunc is not allowed to pass your firewall, check it and change it, same for tftp server

(I assume you use wired connection between PC and lan)

Yes, firewall was off. I am concluding that the drive died, and I am not going to spend anymore time beating a dead horse...just won't buy LaCie products again. Here's a chart showing the high failure rate of the 3TB hard drives that's in the Cloudbox.
