after update to 16.1, external usb hdd isnt recognized

hi,
since updated from 16 to 16.1, my external hdd isnt recognized at boot anymore (hdd powered and spinning)
tested some other hdd and usb-sticks, all have the same problem

when the nas is up and running and i plug in my hdd, all works fine
reboot --> no external usb hdd available
plug hdd out and in, all works fine

nwsp2-lite, only one user and only two samba-shares (int hdd - ext hdd)

firmware 16 was running flawless, never had such problems
any hinds?

Hi puxxi2003,

on my side, hdd and usb sticks are also mounted at boot. But there are some changes with this feature on version 16.1, so I assume you have an USB configuration we did not manage.

So post the output and start debug mode

fdisk -l /dev/sdb
/sbin/vol_id -t /dev/sdb? for all partitions on your disk
/etc/nas_status.sh --start-debug

(if sdb is your USB disk)
Note: to stop debug mode use --stop-debug instead of --start-debug

Then reboot the nas and post the content of :
- /boot.log
- /var/log/messages

Last ask: what mode do you set for the USB disk (in USB disks menu). I assume 'advanced mode' as only in this mode, the firmware uses two scripts to mount the USB disk (one when it is booting and the other for hot-plugging)
