Glad to hear this. But we will never know what caused the issue...

I assume that there were not enough permissions somewhere in tr-daemon.
About settings.json, the fact of not to find it, is not the problem but rather the reverse. Indeed, the script tries to delete it without having root permissions but you was not in this case...
