Lost samba access

Re: Lost samba access

Postby taetae » Wed Oct 22, 2014 4:20 pm

the pc in question is the PC with which I was transferring files and block and went off again automatically at every transfer error ...

I have now switched to the nas 24 hours, but I just transferred a file and I have posted the log file.

if you want to restart the whole thing put debug 3 and tell me what to do ....

seems to me that samba is reporting a wrong free disk space. That reason must be found.

to find out if samba is reporting wrong free space make a network connection in windows explorer (assign drive leter to a shared folder) then in my computer you should see the disk space and free size.

Yes, Frans.

The Log shows that there is nothing wrong in the samba side (taetae may increase the debug level to be convinced).
And some google search shows that the no free space issue is a problem on the client side....

Thank for these log files.

As waiting I read no error in your 2d log file where as you failed to transfer some files. So it may confirm that the issue is not on the NAS side.

But in the first file, I found at least this error message
Code: Select all
[2014/11/07 02:41:36, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet_set(106)
  error packet at smbd/nttrans.c(805) cmd=162 (SMBntcreateX) NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION
:scratch

Could you post the output of
Code: Select all
testparm -v

Note: it seems also that you didn't set rightly time on your NAS. I'd rather that you fix it because it is hard to trace the event...
