fvdw-sl-console problem

Postby panos » Sun Oct 26, 2014 9:05 pm

Hello
I am trying to install fvdw firmware on a network space 2 and when I select the UIMAGE-395-NWSP2CL-179-standalone file the program says that "file not in tfptp directory, abort"
What am I doing wrong? The file is in the above directory....

did you change the location of the tftp folder ? It should be a subfolder of the folder were you installed the fvdw-sl console

please specify path were you installed the fvdw-sl console and the full path were the standalone kernel is

The path is: c:\ns2\tftp and the standalone kernel is also in the same folder c:\ns2\tftp.
The fvdw-sl-console.exe in in the c:\ns2 folder.
Thank you

a red blinking led means that the hard disk is not recognized
What kind of nwsp2 do you have ? a nwsp-lite or classic ? (see here how to find out which type you have viewtopic.php?f=11&t=213 )

what kind of partition table did you choose ? GFT or ms-dos ?
if you choose GPT then your nwsp2 must be a nwsp2-lite or a nwsp2-classic with a upgraded u-boot version.

So if you have nwsp2-classic and you did not upgrade the u-boot version and have chosen GPT partition structure then you get this problem.

(all that is mentioned when running the fvdw-sl installer...)

where is your tftp directory located ? should be a subfolder of the directory where you installed the fvdw-sl console
And you should have a second tftp server already running
