Wrong HD temperature read

Hi Jocko,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I think i wasn't clear enough.

I have used a new router for testing only. As I said in my previous post, there was no updates in the network infrastructure.

I'm sure the DHCP server is running in both routers, as there are other clients attached to the routers.

Does the static IP or the dhcp client got corrupted by any chance ? (not sure wich i'm using)

Is there any way, to check the configurations made, by connecting the HDD to a computer ?

Best

I am sorry guanabara but i forgot your last post... :pound

So do you try to use the fvdw-sl assistant ? (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1488) and see if it is detected.

Hi Jocko,

No need to apologize.

The NAS was not found by the assistant.

If that matters, i can see network activity in both router and NAS rj45 interface (lights blinking)

Thanks.

As you already have some other issues with the firmware (temp guard issue), I suggest to reinstall the firmware image.

So you should try to use the fvdw-sl console.(viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1271)

First step: check if the telnet is available.

if yes, shutdown the nas and use the menu "Write fvdw-sl firmware image to disk" in the fvdw-sl console. (read its related help menu)

After restoring the firmware version will be 15.1 and then you must install again version 15.3 via the standard way (firmware upgrade menu of fvdw-sl web interface)

Will this procedure format the home partition, where my personal data is stored ?

Will update with the telnet status in a moment.

You will keep your data if you use the menu "Write fvdw-sl firmware image to disk"

just a detail to get a telnet access you must use the menu "Load standalone kernel" (need to load a special kernel) and not use directly the telnet menu.

The NAS must be shutdown before using this menu

Also you should disable any firewall/antivirus before using it

Hi Jocko,

That is an important detail, thanks for the remember.

However the process seems to fail.

After selecting the image, appears a console with a message "no lump received: continuing", and then a upload dialog appears.

At the end, the telnet client fails to connect to the NAS.

Any suggestion ?
