Hi hilti_ch
indeed the kernel in the 10-1 package is only for nwsp2 classic. That doesn't run on the Lite version and is indeedo mentioned on the page were you downloaded the package but can be overlooked. But it can be solved
The Lite needs a different kernel as the hardware is different. In the development section you can download an experimental kernel based on Linux 2.6.39.4 that supports both the nwsp2 Lite and classic. You can download it there.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=223Write this kernel to sda6 of you hdd instead of the one in the 10-1 first install package and everything should be fine.
Another solution, but less good, is using the original lacie kernel in sda6, but then kernel dependent stuff in fvdw-sl will not work, like nfs server and maybe (usb) ntfs write support. That story you can reade here in the topic were we discovered that there are two versions of the nwsp (classic and lite)

I recommend using the 2.6.39.4 kernel I am running it already for a while and it has not given any problem yet.
The good news, as long as you do not change the flash rom its almost impossible to brick the nwsp2 forever, its only a matter of getting the HDD setup correctly
