I am on CET, so GMT+1.

The servers I am syncing to are also GMT+1 so i really don't see the problem.

Hi firwareslut

Previously, you wrote this:
The NTP server being set to the wrong time zone is causing a problem with my sync. My main servers are set to CET and display the right time. However, because the NAS doesn't support the daylight saving I have to set the clock to GMT. The times are correct on the devices but it appears that btsync is also checking the time zone and refusing to sync. It says that the time difference is greater than 600s (even though it is not).

So on the main server, did you select an ETC/GMT+1 timezone or a city timezone (like Europe/Paris)?
If you select a ETC/GMT+1, no dst offset is available and so if you select the same TZ on the NAS, you should synchronize

But if you select a city timezone, a dst offset will be added in summer time on the main server side and so if you had kept the same TZ on the NAS (GMT+1), you can not synchronize because you have a time difference greater than 600s.

Note: in the next version, you will choose city zone and no longer ETC/GMT tz.

I need some times to update the firmware GUI (holidays), and so you have to wait 2-3 weeks so that I can send a patch and test if with the new TZ files, your issue is fixed.

Thanks! I haven't been home to play with the NAS but I can wait for a patch...there's no rush.

ok i looked agan and there's not city offset it's just CET which is GMT+1 which is what it is set too. The date and time match on the gui and on the NAS when i check the date. Btsync is not syncing.

Hi Jocko,
is it possible to use the Apache Proxying method like you explained here (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1632&p=12240&hilit=transmissioncli#p12240) to have a URL redirection for BTSync too?

I'd like to use a web address for BT sync, so that my port 80 can still refer to the NAS web console, and still access BTSync from the outside.

Thanks.

Hi mdi,

It is already done... but I forgot :doh to give the related URL for btsync...

So use this URL to get a remote access via the proxy gateway: http(s)://mynas/btsync

Note: in the next firmware version, a proxy option to enable/disable it will be available
