ps
I checked on my system, the first mentioned parameter has value 1 but the second one has value 0.
This could also bring some speed increase as authentication for each package is then not done twice (on server and client)

If you have the same settings as on my system then you could try what happens if you use both values set to 0

I have the same your parameters ... now put the first value to 0 and do a little test and I'll tell you what happened .....

edit .....

nothing to do wrong by setting the values to 0

Hi taetae,

We didn't release the firmware version 15.1 for 5big1 because previously you lost your shares!

I will send you some files to test if the disk database script can work well on 5big1.

So wait around 30min

As promised, attached a tar file to test the new disks database scripts.

Note: the test doesn't overwrite your data, so there is no risk to use it.

Copy the attached to the share fvdw and untar the file there:
Code: Select all
tar -xf /share/1000/fvdw/5big1-disk.tar -C  /share/1000/fvdw
So now you have a folder named 'testdiskdb' in the share fvdw

in this folder you have a file dm_update_single_db_test.finc, so still in putty, change the current folder to /share/1000/fvdw/testdiskdb
Code: Select all
cd /share/1000/fvdw/testdiskdb
and run the php script from this folder
Code: Select all
root@Acrab:/share/1000/fvdw/testdiskdb # php dm_update_single_db_test.finc
and if all is ok you must have this output
Code: Select all
 * Updating Disks database...
                Default case
                search internal disks...
/dev/sda:1
Partition table of Disk-A saved in partition_Disk-A.xml
Right format for the data partition

Partition table of Disk-B saved in partition_Disk-B.xml
Right format for the data partition

/dev/sde:1
Partition table of Disk-E saved in partition_Disk-E.xml
Right format for the data partition
/dev/sek:0
                Found 5 internal disks
                List saved in disks.xml
Update the database according with the found disks
                        Disk-A is the system disk
Shares found for the system disk saved in shares_system.xml
Disk-B is only a data disk
Shares found for Disk-B saved in shares_Disk-B.xml
Disk-C is only a data disk
Shares found for Disk-C saved in shares_Disk-C.xml
Disk-D is only a data disk
Shares found for Disk-D saved in shares_Disk-D.xml
Disk-E is only a data disk
Shares found for Disk-E saved in shares_Disk-E.xml
Orphaned Shares : no disk with a right Id, list saved in shares_orphaned.xml
Ended:                   [ OK ]
Note: if you use big disks (> 2TB), you will get some lines: "fdisk: device has more than 2^32 sectors, can't use all of them"

and some files are created in the folder '/share/1000/fvdw/5big_db':
- disks.xml is the updated disk database that would be written in the nas database.
- nas_conf_db.xml, the updated nas database like it would be done
- partition_Disk-x.xml, a file or each internal disk of its partition table
- share_Disk-X.xml, the updated shares database that would be written in the nas database (if the shares are on a not system disk)
- shares_system.xml, the updated shares database that would be written in the nas database (if the shares are on the system disk)
- shares_orphaned.xml, shares lost after updating ( would be empty if all is ok)

So make a first test without any USB disk or esata disk, the test is ok: if in disks.xml, you find your 5 disks and shares_orphaned.xml is empty
Plug now at least one USB disk and repeat the test (test is ok if in disks.xml, you find your 5 disks and ...)
and last step Plug at lest one esata and repeat the test
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
