Hi BigCucaracha,

Indeed you must edit the file downloads.ini.

The default settings allows connection only with the IP where mlnet is running (127.0.0.1)

So you must edit the file /share/1000/mldonkey/downloads.ini and change the parameter allowed_ips

You can use nano with putty to do that or change its permissions to edit it with a remote access
Code: Select all
chmod o+w /share/1000/mldonkey/downloads.ini

MLDonkey is now fully implemented in the next version 15.1 :-D except for the devices NWSP1 and SPD8020 (not enough memory)

If you do not like mldonkey gui you can try to install on your laptop an alternative interface :

Sancho (http://sancho.awardspace.com/) available on Windows Linux Solaris FreeBSD OSX OS.

After installing it, do not run the settings assistant (as sancho must use the settings from mldondey server) and run directly the program.

Then
1/open Host setup manager
change the default hosts settings (127.0.0.1:4001) by the nas IP (eg. 192.168.1.100:4001)
do your change as the Default settings

2/open 'Preferences window' (->Tools -> Preferences)

On General tab of Sancho:Main:
- uncheck 'Kill spawned core when existing sancho'
- you can set a language support instead of the default language

Note: Do not try to use the console mode which seems to be not stable with these settings)
