OK, had a chance to look at the led now. "cat trigger" gives..
Code: Select all
none nand-disk [timer] heartbeat backlight gpio default-on

none, turns the light off, nand-disk appears to do nothing, as does backlight and gpio. default-on turns the led on and timer and heartbeat make the led flash as they would suggest. Strange thing is randomly and frequently (i.e. 50% of the time) when I execute the commands the ssh shell connection is closed.

As for
Code: Select all
echo 1 > sata

this appears to have no effect.

thanks
it explains why it blinks, as "timer" is set in the kernel.
We can change that to default-on in the boot script when it has finished boot

can you also try "none" and after that try change sata (and also the combination deafault-on and sata

I did try none and then sata. I also tried nand-disk and sata, nothing either. Will try default-on next.

Finally got around to doing some more tests. trying echo 1 and echo four with both "none" and "default-on".

However trying "default-on" puts the light on, and then the disk activity makes it blink off. So that looks like the default setting and flashes off with disk activity.

Good news I hope. Let me know.

thx for trying, no problem for me that it took some time

Form your post It iss not clear to me what setting now to be used now to get it blinking with disk activitie
is only "default-on" as trigger
or
is it default-on combined with 1 or 4 set in "sata"

Just "default-on" appears to do the trick.

Echo 1 or 4 > sata appeared do nothing. ( If I alternated 1 and 4 then the led flashed briefly but only because it was writing to disk.
