As soon as a new bad block appears again and impact the superblock then yes it will fail again.

Currently you have 560 bad sectors it is not so much and I assume your data should not be corrupted as the disk uses then some additional sectors to replace them
but their number is limited.
Note: if later some bad blocks concern fs partitions (sda1/2/7), the nas may start no longer.

Yes if you reboot the nas, you will get a rw mount on sda8
My suggestion is to keep down the nas until you get a new disk.

I'll bring the NAS up as normal and rsync to another NAS drive to complete backup.

I'll also start shopping for replacement drive.
