root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # /usr/sbin/mount /dev/md2 /md2

You did not create the mountpoint
Code: Select all
mkdir /md0 /md1 /md2 /md4

I meant that I had already done it.

Code: Select all
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # mkdir /md0 /md1 /md2 /md4
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # /usr/sbin/mount /dev/md1 /md1
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # /usr/sbin/mount /dev/md0 /md0
root@fvdw-sta-kirkwood:/ # /usr/sbin/mount /dev/md4 /md4

As there is no error with the mount commands that means your raid devices are clean (and also the fs on them) and nothing to deepen on this side.

Now, you need to wait fvdw maybe he has some ideas to fix the boot issue

Note: do you know if your 5big2 is a diskless version (buy without disk)

As it is a diskless, if we do not succeed to restore the firmware, you will be able to :

- Transfer your data by using fvdw-sl console
- Overwrite the firmware (factory reset with losing data)

and then store back the data on the NAS.

What was the data size on your NAS ?
