Using console kernel crashes but i'm not fast enough to copy text. Is there a log file?

this is odd, I think it tries to load the root file system from the wrong disk

Can you the following test, remove all disks except the most left one, this should be sda.
Then reboot the nas and see if the webinterface comes up.

If the order of disks is wrong (other post) this could make sense. I'm going to try what you asked now.

put it in the most righthand (seen from the back) slot and try again

ps. I thought that we have seen a similar problem like you have with creating raid
If you read this topic you will notice similar issues as you have, finally we also tried there the 3.14.2 kernel but it did not solve the problems

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2168#p18166

There must be a basic error in the setup :scratch

If that also fails then this disk then this disk doesn't have a root file system on sda7 and probably also not a partition 1 and 2

Put it back in the the most lefthand slot

Please load the standalone kernel and then give command
Code: Select all
fdisk -l

There must be a basic error in the setup, this could be the disk order
we need to find out now what is the right order and recheck identification of the slots :scratch

Failed with disk on right side and same error.

Disk is now on left site and regular standalone kernel.

seems ok, can you also post dmesg output, that will show us to which bus number this disk is connected
