Okay, copying over now.

I tried to tftp some files but they stalled/timed out it says because I'm already copying?

Next steps- I need to get the Lacie back and restored and then copy data back to it. But the disk is ext3, right? So I'll probably need to use this tool again to copy the files over to the Lacie once it's rebuilt.

I'll keep you apprised of the progress. And thank you thank you thank you!!!

Is there a way I can tell how full the USB disk is getting?

this because you did not replace "ip-pc" by the actual ip of your windows pc :pound ;)

I wouldn't expect that. Can you see that actually files are copied to /mountpoint/backup?

Is there a way I can tell how full the USB disk is getting?

Yes, files are being copied. I've been perusing them. I just hope they're not corrupted! I told you guys it happened on my old Lacie that files got moved and overwritten on files which were already there. Maybe you guys can help me rescue that one as well (maybe?)

Code: Select all
root@(none):/mountpoint/backup # df
Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sef1            2884272344  19825836 2835143972   1% /mountpoint
/dev/md0             3898816512 3136820788 761995724  80% /mp2
root@(none):/mountpoint/backup # df

*This* Lacie? I wouldn't touch these disks until you're very sure the data on the usb disk is ok.

ps, probably the usb disk will be too small, md0 seems to have 3136820788 1k blocks, which is more then available on the usb disk
