[SOLVED] After a firmware upgrade, blinking blue, lost 5Big2

BINGO!

Everything ok, the Lacie blue light stops flashing, the Mac sees it again via the Dashboard.
My beloved Volumes are now inside the folder /Share/Recovery

I miss two steps:
1) Move the volumes in the main path. I can do it via File Browser? Simply move the folders with a drag & drop?
2) the Lacie firmware is 2.2.3 which is the original one from the factory,

All it happenedI when have tried to do an upgrade to 2.2.12.2 from 2.2.9.3, From the one installed now, there are 9 updates!

You recommended to make the upgrade? :-)

A nice learning point too for others that suffer from a failed upgrade, erasing that array doesn't affect the data stored.

Ad 1: I guess yes thats a way of doing it, but maybe the lacie manual explains what to do.

Ad 2: If the nas does what it has to do and fullfills your needs why upgrade? On the other hand I see no reason why lacie upgrades won't work as many installed them without problems. However it seems they fail sometimes for unknown reasons, especially on the 5big2. So that makes me reluctant to recommend it. This lacie firmware has a complicated setup and many things can go wrong apparently. Also this time we could repair but next time? You will need ti make your own judgement. I don't use the lacie firmware but our own ;)

Unfortunately via browser it does not allow me to move volumes from /Share/Recovery to / because I do not have permission to do so.
So I have try to do it from the terminal.
I'm on a Mac, and from a shell (Terminal) don't succeded to connect via ssh.
I tried to do it in sftp but once connected does not make me use the mv command to move direcrtory.

What to do?

It is not amazing you don't have permissions to move folders to the root !

I think you have first to create again your shares with the previous permissions and then move their content from recovery folder to the new shares

Yes i already made this step.
But remember that i can operate only via Dashboard (browser) or via File Browser.
And from here can not move directory in a fast way, just one by one.
I ask if can use the terminal with a simple mv command, but i don't know how connect to my nas

With Samba or AFP (on MAC) the operation is not so fast.
After 4 hours, moved jus few GB.
This is why ask for a command via shell.
If i think that have to move 13TB, i have to wait days :hammerhead

have a look at the linux command "mv" there is plenty info on that on the internet. It can move complete folders and all subfilders using the -r option.
Of course need to know the full path were to move the files. I advise to practice with a small set of files first.

This is the point. I know how to use mv, but after the firmware reboot there is no way to connect in ssh with lacie.

On nas-central forum I think several post can be found to enable ssh. I can have look if you want the football match has ended.

If you cannot enable ssh on lacie firmware there is still our standaline kernel that you could use to use mv command
