for a basic user like me which is all about storing my stuff in my personal cloud and downloading torrents and such stuff, you used to have an advance than the stock firmware with giving me unlimited options and settings for the torrent client and it looks like your going to start limiting the options for your software, I'm seriously afraid that I might regret removing the stock firmware.
I feel the need to react to this. I think you are wrong, what you mention is to my opinion not the the main reason why people would want to use our alternative firmware. The reason is that if offers much more then the stock firmware.
That we incorporate some measures to protect less experienced users for making the device unusable is not a limitation. You could have explained your issue better and asked if we could make an adaptation to satisfy your need before making a statement as you did.
PS We do not have a problem if you want to revert back to the lacie firmware, by all means, it is your own choice. I hope you will be more happy with that.
