you will need at least three times a restart and do the chown command, otherwise not all folders will have the right owner...

I couldn't get plugins to update first of all. So I followed your instructions and ran chown and restarted LMS a couple more times and once more for luck and bingo. I am now listening to spotify!

Thanks again for all your help fvdw. Let me know if you plan to update the slimserver.tar and I can test it out on my backup nas. Best.

:punk glad to hear that it is working now,
attached an updated version that should run ok when installed in the fvdw share addons folder

of course you need to unpack the rar archive first and put the tar archive in the addons folder and extract that one there

I will give it a go on the backup nas. Listening to BBC Radio 6 on the main nas, so can't touch that now! I'll install it through the web interface to give it the full test.

Fresh install on the backup nas worked a treat! :hail

The missing folders on the setup wizard were also visible :applause

I didn't play any music through the squeezebox clients, but on previous experience the fact I could browse spotify music through the lms web ui and the spotify test ran OK (see image) I can see no problems with the install.

Good to go for this version me thinks. Thanks again for all your help.
