The blue LED...

...doesn't stay off. At each boot it comes back on.

Hi hardly,

This is the normal behaviour.

I don't know if to switch off permanently the blue LED is a good idea.

No, with Lacie's firmware it could be switched permanently off. It only blinked while booting or shutdown (and possibly errors, but never saw those). After boot it automatically switched off.

The bloody thing is so bright it lights up the room without lights. Happens to be in the bedroom in my case.

we can add it for you if you wish to permanent switch it off. But also a small piece of duck tape does the job. ;)

let us know what you want

Really, for one user? Yes, I'd definitely like to be able to switch it off. Thanks.

Hi hardy74

No need to wait next WE.

So attached a patch to install the new feature (add a button in the menu "other settings")

To install it go to the usual menu "upload a patch" (save the zip file to the share fvdw and use as control code 'unzip')
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Installed and it works: with the new setting set at "off at boot", light is on during boot but then switches off. Beautiful. Thanks.
